How to Install iMPlayer on Fire TV Devices (ie Fire Stick TV, Fire Cube, Fire Smart TV, Fire Tablet) (2026)

In this video, learn how to install iMPlayer on Fire TV devices using the Downloader app. This quick step-by-step tutorial covers enabling Unknown Sources, entering the Downloader short code, installing the APK, and launching iMPlayer successfully.
Fire TV Stick / Fire Smart TV / Fire Cube (3rd Generation or Newer / not compatible on Fire Stick Select models)
1. Download the Downloader app (If not already installed on your device)
Go to the HOME screen of your Fire device.
Select the FIND menu.
Select the SEARCH menu.
Type the letter "D" in the keyboard field.
Select the word "Downloader" that appears below.
Select the GET option to download and install the Downloader app.
Open the Downloader app and select ALLOW for permissions.
2. Enable Developer Options (Required for updated Fire TV versions)
Go to Settings
Then select the My Fire TV option.
Now press the “OK/Select” button on the About option 7 times.
You have now successfully revealed the developer option.
Select the developer option.
Turn the adb debugging to the ON position.
Select Install Apps from unknown sources and switch the Downloader app to the ON position.
3. Install the iMPlayer app
Open the Downloader app
Select the Hashtag icon (#) in the upper right home bar
Enter the Short Code: 6586149, then select Next.
The app will begin to download.
Click INSTALL then select OPEN.
cClick Allow for app Permissions
Select the Management Code option.
Enter your 7-Digit Management Code provided in your welcome email.
The app will restart automatically (you may need to reopen it manually).
Once loaded, your Portal 1, Backup 1, & Backup 2 (if subscribed) playlists will update.
Please allow up to 5 minutes for all Portal playlists to fully refresh before accessing content.
