How to Install iMPlayer on Google TV / Android TV (ie ONN 4K, TiVo 4K, Nvidia Shield, Google TV Streamers, etc) (2026)

In this video, learn how to install iMPlayer on Android devices using the Downloader app. This quick step-by-step tutorial covers enabling Unknown Sources, entering the Downloader short code, installing the APK, and launching iMPlayer successfully.
Google TV / Android TV (ie ONN 4K, TiVo 4K, Nvidia Shield, Google TV Streamers, etc))
1. Download the Downloader app (If not already installed on your device)
Open up your Google Play Store and search for the Downloader app.
Install the Downloader app on your device.
Open the Downloader app and select ALLOW for permissions.
2. Install the iMPlayer app
Open the Downloader app
Select the Hashtag icon (#) in the upper right home bar
Enter the Short Code: 6586149, then select Next.
The app will begin to download.
You may be prompted to give permissions to the Downloader app.
If this occurs, select SETTINGS.
Select ALLOW for Apps From Unknown Sources.
Press the back arrow to return to the Downloader app.
Click INSTALL then select OPEN.
Click Allow for app Permissions (To enable Recording / Reminders)
Select the Management Code option.
Enter your 7-Digit Management Code provided in your welcome email.
The app will restart automatically (you may need to reopen it manually).
Once loaded, your Portal 1, Backup 1, & Backup 2 (if subscribed) playlists will update.
Please allow up to 5 minutes for all Portal playlists to fully refresh before accessing content.
